Would Like To Have Suggestions On A Good GPS App For Android

Not sure if this has been brought up before (probably has), but I would like to get suggestions on a good app for an android phone that I can see where I am with a good map using GPS. Also able to mark where I have been, and be able to email or text my location coordinates easily.
I have been using GPS Essentials. I like it, but the map area is really small due to a "dashboard" that is always visible. Would like a good sized map while out in the field

I'm sure they all do this, but I want something simple, easy to understand. Not looking for a lot of bells and whistles. I prefer simple but good.

I use the free app "Waze". Worked well before, but sent me the wrong route for my trip from Detroit to Battlecreek on Sunday. To compound that, it either timed out or closed while in transit and I had to pull over and restart it on the trip - AND turn around & go back. Lost about a half hour in doing so.
