"Wrap around" phenomenon.........Coming information !
Hi Boys & Girls !
Ty Brook, who authors TECH TALK, that frequently appears in the W. & E. Treasures magazine, spoke of wrap around in the March, 2007, volume 41, on page 16. This is a good signal that is somehow "wrapped" or warped into actually being identified (on a detector so equipped) as being iron or any target other than what it actually is.
He went on to say that this same phenomenon seems to occur in reverse in certain conditions, with iron being identified as a good target. He said if readers have any theories, thoughts or facts as to why this phenomenon occurs, feel free to e-mail his address: http://kenoty@bellsouth.net
The purpose of this post is to let members, who are interested in the why of wrap around, know that I recently e-mailed Ty and asked if he had any results on his request to readers. He replied that he had received questions/opinions on the subject. One particular theory seems to be factual and he plans to put it to tests before committing the results to print. Currently,Ty is working on two columns (July-September 2008) and expects some information to be in one or the other.
Anyone interested, make sure you don't miss the July-September 2008 issues of W & E !
