Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum.

I have a come into possession of wrought iron (pre 1900), around 5 - 6 tonne.

At the minute it is parked handy on the sea bed, so in essence what I to know is, is this worth lifting? and if it is worth lifting what sort of value might it have?

Hope you can help.

Cheers

Could be worth a couple hundred a ton for no.1 steel. What are you gonna lift it with? The question is- what's it's gonna cost you to salvage versus what your gonna get for it as scap? Figure that out then decide. Pre 1900 on the sea bed? If you do recover it, you'd better run it to the scarp yard pretty quick, cause it's gonna start to corrode real fast after you pull it out. :-\ :-\
