Same here. I thought it was most likely just a post to get a laugh.

Im guessing some of the "smart-a$$" replies (including mine ) were
just in fun. Any that were genuinely angered, probably viewed the
offer as an insult. These guys have been in here for years, doing their
thing.... a quick 2 minutes of reading would have shown that. So it was
obvious to them, that you hadnt been a regular and just popped in and took
a stab at highway robbery LOL. Just kidding.

But seriously - 2 times face is basically an attempt to fleece someone out of money
that doesnt know any better. Would you think it was ok for a coin dealer, to offer
$20 to someone for their worthless 1916-D dime ?

Also, you asked how to sell at these amounts ? Seriously, do this. Go to Ebay. Type
into a search "silver half dollar roll". You will see easily 9 x face being paid.

No and's, if's or but's about it - silver is "worth" what its worth , just like gold. Right now
its about 9 times face value.

In any case - You are interested in Silver, and that is cool with us ! We are all addicts. Sorry
if the posts came at you sort of bully-like. Your post was just pretty bold to most here.
