It’s got some thin line engravings along the outer edge, don’t know if that means it’s more one thing than another

I think that says junior, so a junior police or fire badge is what you may have

Nice! On this badge I can see the word 'JUNIOR' so I believe it was a Junior G-Man badge from the late 1930s-1940s.
Anyway, it was a Junior-something!
