WW1 era scrapbook Washington DC

I don't buy photos ever. I open this up though and I asked lady how much, she said two dollars! The old cars in the front are awesome. There's probably 40 photos. Here are a couple of them. Not sure how much to ask for it though. May have to do some more research.

Nice save. Those look like some nice family photos, its a shame they were lost or thrown out by the family. If there are any names on them, it could give you an idea of who they are. A lot of people are looking for old family photos, especially originals, on places like Ancestry.com and so forth. They could be valuable if returned to the right person. I know I would pay good money for old original photos of my family.

It was at an estate sale. So I'm guessing they didn't want it. Or the family may have passed on it. Idk.

These are great BK, I live in Northern VA and find the pic's fascinating. So for instance the family picnicking in "Great Falls"... They are on the Potomac River, somewhere near/at Great Falls Park, but the actual park wasn't established until 1966. ​https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Falls_Park

Depending on the age and subject, vintage photo albums are very collectible and can be worth some good money. I bought one that had many photos of a family trip to the popular spots in Colorado Springs, during the 1910s. It had pictures of the Cog Rail train that took you to the top of Pike's Peak when it was steam powdered. I paid if I recall around $35.00 for it and it sold for around $350.00. Check out "photo albums" on eBay and just see what some have sold for. Some go into the thousands of dollars. I always check out old photos in antique shops. Some time ago I came across what was a box of photos of what may have been a broken up photo albums of a trip someone took to DC in the 1940s. There were all these pictures of various sites around DC and one was of all these 40s era movie stars this person who took the pictures were so very lucky to encounter. That would be the Late Great Surf. He was most awesome.
