What is an "engineered" storm?

What is an "engineered" storm?

Just guessing here, but I would say an engineered storm is one that freight trains along the jet stream and brings more storms behind it. Sometimes I hope it's the engine because we could use the rain. Other times I'm praying for the caboose.

.............darn it...gotta pull the highbanker up again. HA

did the same the creek is already high. were supposed to get an inch an hour for parts of it.

I learned my lesson about how high the creek can get.

I went exploring yester day and found someones old keenes sluice in a debris dam

Engineered ?.... this is a well known long witnessed weather event for the west coast.

Pineapple express its been happening before we even lived here .

Basic study of the geology of the west coast shows it used to be wetter a lot more often.

It has been lessening for thousands of years.

Another weekend I won't be able to get into the mountains :BangHead: Weekend before last we were able to make it up but needed 4X4 a few times to make it through snow.

Lot's of water and snow forecast along with winter storm warnings. Royal Gorge Ski area listed the yearly snow fall this morning of 236" with more falling, the NFAR went from ~1000 cfs to 15,000 cfs and climbing. Be careful out there this is nothing to mess with!...............63bkpkr

How the hell can you people live in California? Rain, Snow, Earthquakes... Terrifying.

Oh, wait...I live in East Central Florida...Hurricanes, Severe Thunderstorms, Fires, Alligators...

Never mind....:tongue3:

...............over 6 inches of snow the last couple of days. And if the forecast for warm weather (60's) this coming week...see picture 2 in above post, HA!

Two of the three ponds on my property breached Friday. 3" snow today. SO ready for August

Cute critters Mike!

Glad this storm is just about done. I'm sure tired of plowing snow and rocks along Hwy 199. Better weather come Monday. Looking forward to spring and more so, summer.

It's calling me, the gold that is.
Mike
