Hi everyone,

I recently dug out my late fathers old Whites Super X 500 and wanted to get it going. Trouble was, that when I opened the backs up, (where the batteries go), there are no signs telling me what type of battery set up was used. I looked up on the net what was supposed to be the old Manual for it, but it looks nothing like the X 500 that I have. Anyone have any ideas of to what batteries I should use, or even if they make that type of battery any more?

Thanks in advance,

Post a pic so I can see what you have, then I'll see what docs we have on it. Might be interested in buying it for our museum.

It would be the two box metal/mineral detector as you mention opening up "the backs". They used four flashlight type "C" cells in each part.
