X-Terra 70 pinpointing depth indicator

I know that the X-70's VDI numbers are no longer relevant when you switch to pinpointing mode. But what about the depth indicator in pinpointing mode? Is the depth indicator still relatively accurate?

I do find it to be accurate. I think it is also accurate when you change coils. My favorite is the 6"DD

I think it is real acurate. I can tell if there is something below the target I have found also... like 46 at 6in then -6 at 12in....hope that made sense...
