Its been a fall/early winter for me that has limited my hunting opportunites, and when I did have the opportunity to hunt it has been in the hot VA soils with the GPX 5000.... so today when I had an hour to take the Deus for a walk I jumped on it. Thought the ground was going to be frozen, but it wasn't.
Tonight we are to get 5" of snow, so my Saturday hunt probably isn't going to happen, but I digress....
The site for me was an old standby... a French and Indian War site that had been hit hard with Etracs, CTXs, F75s, AT Pros, AT Golds, and even the GPX 5000 (once).
This large cent wasn't period for the site, it must have been a farmer's drop but I will take it.
Any old coppers are a welcome sight! In that hour I also dug a nice musket ball, it was screaming at me at 6" deep.... how did we miss that one?
Thanks for looking!
