Being a expert with the Deus 1 has helped my learning curve but still got a long ways to go with the nuances. Got to figure out what base programs work best for my areas etc....The settings mimic the Deus I so I am very comfortable with the Deus II.

Ground still frozen but ran the Deus II around my yard, trying out the programs and accessing all the settings. Thanks to your tutorials and practicing I know the menu and options pretty well now. Tomorrow it gets above 50 and I’m hitting some woods that should be thawed enough for first actual detecting with it.

We are going to a deep freeze starting tomorrow. Temperatures between 2 and 30. I get my Deus 2 this week, Wednesday I hope.

I spent 11 year with the Deus 1 just under 100 hours with the Deus 2 but very confidant with it i still have some learning to do but i have defiantly got it's back broke,

Detecting is slightly different over here in the UK anything above 30 we have to dig all i do is use a three-tone setting with tone 1/2 set to 100Hz to 30 then 31/99 700Hz dig all high tones and anything iffy, but like you say even though i only use one tone that i dig with the sounds through the headphones give you so much information,
