Xterra 705 ground balance

Was on the beach today with the 705 and noticed I can run with ground balance tracking AND beach mode together.

What really is the difference ? Should I run both together or ?
New with this unit...

I normally run both at salty beaches. Just means that it will track ground balance faster/more freq so you need to watch going over potentially good targets multiple times else you may balance out the target. Read thru Randy Horton excellent ebook available on minelabs website in treasure talk for better explanation.
