What are something's you know you could have made a lot of money on but couldn't ge the seller to lower the price? I walked away from a box wih 30 thermostats in it yesterday. They were all used with the instruction books. But he wanted $100 for them. I was going for $50-60. Nope, I went back at the end of the day, no deal, still wanted $100! If they were brand new, that would have been great. Oh we'll, there will be more deals out there!

He may of paid your offering price for them himself at another yard sale.

Don't beat yourself up over it. There will be other deals.

You could make tons of money if the guy at the Rolex store would just take $100 for that Submariner in the case, right?

My complaint is estate sale companies that hold pre sales for a select few. I have no problem with presales, just don't post pics until you've had the presale. It's unethical and unprofessional. All it does is piss people off when they get to your sale and the items pictured are not even available. Especially when you had to get there 1.5 hours early just to be the 5th person in line, behind a group of Haitians no less. I could have purchased an entire collection of Swarovski figurines a couple weeks ago, if the seller (estate sale co.) would have waited until the actual day of the sale to sell them. 118 of them including SCS's and a few limited editions. She sold the whole lot for $2k, a less than $20 a piece average. I would have gone an easy $3-3.5k on it myself, dumbazz. Not only were the Swarovski's gone but so were the Lladro's (except the chipped and repaired ones of course), the tray full of antique snuff bottles, and all of the good Murano pieces. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I told her I would not be attending anymore of her sales because I cannot go elbow to elbow with a bunch of Haitians for leftover scraps.

I'm off my soapbox.
