Yard sale find

Hello all, found these today at a yard sale. I'm not a "button" guy but some appear to be quite old. Any reliable resource sites out there on the web? So far I'm drawing. Blank. Thanks, Jim.

Second picture looks like the buttons from my Army Class A or ASU uniform buttons

Big buttons for the coat and the smaller ones for the pockets

The crossed rifles in the first pic are for the Infantry, definately an older style than the ones we use today though

I think so. The backs are marked "Waterbury button co, conn". But it's very hard to determine age.

From what I could find, mostly from pics online, it's possibly WWI or earlier.

Hi; The Listing for the Waterbury button Co, Conn is listed as having been in business from 1849 - 1965. The following is a Generalized breakdown of your buttons ok.:

TOP ROW:
#1 = Mass. State Seal Button = Modern
#5 = What was the 17th State admitted to the United States ?? Count the Stars. - This may be modern.
Answer: Ohio on March 1st, 1803. The Button may be a Commemorative Button this dating it to 1903.

Thats a great collection of buttons for $ 5.00. I would have paid that for all those.
