Yes, it's April 1, but I'm not fooling!
At dinner today, my brother-in-law asked if I could look at some coins he discovered in a safe deposit box. He is an attorney, and in the course of settling an estate, he had to inventory the contents of the box. According to him, most of the coins are Indian head pennies, and he showed me a list of everything he found. I looked at the list first for key date Indians, and there don't appear to be any, though I'll have to check the 08 and 09's for mintmarks. Then, I noticed a 1795 dollar in the list; that, I was curious about. After getting home and looking the coin up, I found it to be in the four digit range, pricewise. I called him and gave him the news, and I was promised a look at the collection in the near future. I hope, when this happens, to be able to share a picture with all of you. No, it won't be found with my XLT, but it will be thrilling to just hold it in my hand.
