Yesterday got the nice pocket spill with two mercury dimes and 10 wheaties in the same hole. Earliest wheat was 1913, nothing later than 1945. You can see the marks on the dimes where they were sandwiched in between the wheats. Also two other silver dimes, 1935 and 1944.

Today three silver dimes (one Barber), one silver quarter, 1899 Indian, silver necklace, gold plated cufflink and round lead boo-lit thing. Also pile of junk dug today. A few clad and some wheaties not pictured.

Wow, nice pocket spill!! ::)

You did very well! Love all the silver! What's the average depth of your old coinage in your area?

Congrats, at1cad.

Very awesome silver and old copper coin pocket spill!!! :) Thats a lot of ugly iron and bottle caps too! Keep on hunting!

Dan, I've been digging a lot of iffy signals. The pocket spill was supper choppy, but there was that high silver tone mixed in there and well, it doesn't cost anything to dig it, so what not check it out. Deep stuff doesn't ID solid all the time. For the most part, stuff seems to be the length of the Lesche blade (or deeper) as most of these finds were still in the hole after I pulled the plug. I hate to exaggerate any, metal detecting depths are like the proverbial "fish story" but most of these coins were at least 5-6" deep, some deeper.

Nice find. I found a whole bunch of wheaties last year with 4 or 5 silver coins too. How exiting to find that much in one dig.
