Me and a buddy went out for 6 hours yesterday. Detecting, hiking and having fun! What a blast! The locks keyhole looks strange, like a number 9. And the other thing, i'm not sure what it is?

I'm not sure what the other thing is either while the keyhole does resemble the number 9 I'm fairly certain it's just a standard keyhole

I don't have any idea what the "9" us, Byt it sure is a nice piece, as well as the lock.
 
The other thing looks to be a Rosette.
 
I'm not seeing any at all.
