Yesterdays boat ride on the Potomac and...

here are a couple of pictures of Ft. Ward in MD on the shore of the Potomac. This was one of the last major defenses of DC during not only the Civil War but WWI and WWII. During the world wars, the govt installed gun batteries to protect air assualts on DC. If you go there, you can tour the site and even see the undergroun bunkers to a certain extent. Really cool place to visit. Hope you all like the pictures!
