Yesterday's Hunt with Mach 1 & Co.
Hello Everybody, DeArmittPa and I Hunted with the Mach 1 Pilot, His Son and Brother in Law yesterday morning. What a Blast ! This is without a doubt one of the best sites as far as numbers go that I have hunted, ever. The coins are rough as they came out of a pastures that may have been farmed and had fertilizer put on the fields in the past. The buttons came out faily well. Most had broken shanks as to why they were lost. Our hunt lasted close to 5 hours, I could have stayed there all day if we could have gotten away with it at home
DeArmitt got the best coin of the day, what a surprise
The kid has got luck. His half-cent is an 1806 on pretty decent shape, also he got a Draped Bust Largie that is a no date. I got an 1804 half cent and some decent buttons including a large tombac. i also found a Trianglar shaped stone and flake from some stone tool making. If they ever plough the field I thinkit would be a great place to hunt arrowheads. The Pilot was learning a new machine
and I think his son found a button or two. Have Fun, Bob
