Went back to the old sports complex. I wanted to do some more hunting along the sides of two ballfields near where I found the other Stander. Along the side of the first field I found a deep Barber dime. I continued up to the other field where there was a big, old shade tree about 30 feet off of the first base line. Amazingly, I got a clean, deep, small, silver signal on one side of the tree. Turned out to be another Barber dime, but in much better shape then the first one. I started hunting all around that tree and on the other side of it I found a real nice 1923 Stander about 6 inches deep. The Stander and the 1912 Barber dime needed no cleaning at all. The other Barber had a black stain on it, which came off with some baking soda. The rest of my finds around that tree were clad quarters and dimes, some memorial pennies and a couple wheaties. I left myself plenty of area along those fields to search in the future.
