Haven't had very much luck my past few hunts so I'm looking to the junk to see if I have anything interesting. This piece stuck out to me but I can't figure out what it might be. A handle off of something maybe? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1420986011.069674.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1420986070.071218.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1420986081.739544.webp

Any time you ask some thing like this it helps to know what part of the planet you are in .

Could be a handle... Could be allot of things ??? I've more the once found old discarded clock parts, so this does remind me some, of a pillar piece from an old clock movement. It be nice if you could offer your opinion of what you at least think this item is made of?...Brass, Plastic etc??. I can only guess the size of it.

"You know the deal ...", people. LOL
You have to phrase your response in the form of a question.

"Hot or Cold ?"

1. Was it found associated with a Maori burial assemblage?

I'm having a hard time telling what it's made of. It's heavy and not magnetic

Looks like the tip of a guard from a sword.

Pewter sounds right. Could be the end of a sword sheathe. The bottom(in the last pic) looks broken but the top looks like it might have connected to something else, like some sort of key way

It is a small portion of a Victorian era propelling (mechanical) pencil
