"you won,t beat this ugly coin after cleaned you call it what"

Hi all,Gee you would have to be good to find a treasure like what i found today."THE UGLIEST COIN".I went crossed eyed and couldn,t bare to look at it any longer. Then i was dumb enough to clean it. ??? ??? ???It use to be a British half-penny and you can make out the date [1877] on the bottom in second pic."WARNING DO NOT SCARE AS IT MAY BE BAD FOR ONES HEALTH"

Tinpan...it's impressive the history you continue to unearth!

Also refreshing how much better your pics look compared to the "old days"

Stay safe out there.

a coin only its mother would love

Re: "you won,t beat this ugly coin after cleaned you call it what"

I'd like to find that coin's mother--that'd be a coin about 25 years older--as long as it didn't bear too close a resemblance to its offspring!

Ouch
Don't put that one with your other coins .. it could wear off ....

Just kidding .. old coins are always fun to dig. Had a 1943 zinc Penney like that once, I think it was a zinc (white) Penney, it was with a clump of wheat's. Do you think your is a IH?

It is better than nothing and you have a rare situation where the date is about the only visible detail, nice find for the record, LOL! HH, Mike
