Young Rosella

[Chilli]

Hi guys, here's a juvenile Crimson Rosella. They have a lot of green when young which turns to red when they mature. The thought is, that being greener when young before they learn to evade predators better that they are more difficult to spot in the foliage. Intelligent design. 👍

Australia has amazing birds, from cassowaries to all kids of parrots/macaws and everything in-between. I get excited with a bluejay....

To be honest if it wasn't for our bird life here the bush would be almost lifeless in many places. We don't have a huge amount of ground animals like you guys do there.
