A friend of mine spends most of his life in Mexico as a missionary, but gets a year at home every four. This year, he's renting a house about twenty miles from here and it appears to be built shortly after WWII. You'd think there would be plenty of wheats, probably some silver and lots of artifacts. You'd be pretty close to wrong! I worked several hours there today and managed a nice "kiddiegem" Sterling ring, a 44S war nickel and a 2000 Jefferson. The ground is dry, covered in places by fill and disrupted by sewer line work in the last few years. Given those circumstances, I should be happy with the few keepers I'm showing.:BangHead:

Sweet finds! Yeah my house was built in 1920 and I haven't found anything pre 1965 yet.

Those are fantastic finds! You should be happy.

IF they disturbed the soil with sewer lines that changes everything.
