Nice photographs! Thanks for sharing...

Nice pics especially the green bee. Found a link about green metallic bee however only the top part of the body is green and this is a female bee. Yours looks all green (could this be the male bee ?)
Here's the link:...Green Metallic Bee, Agapostemon melliventris

Thank you VERDE, you're always so nice & hope you're doing well also ( Dr.?). :)

coazon de oro....thanks...got to be careful smelling them with the "bee's"...:laughing7:

Thanks vpnavy

Cariboo....thank you :) for looking that up...you got me searching and found out that the female is all green and the male is only half like in the pictures in your post...thanks to you I found this picture....

female-and-male-aga_post__-virescens.webp...again, thanks for your help. :icon_thumleft:

I've always known those as a sweat bee. Never looked in to the true name. I tried to get a picture of one here but he moved around to much. You got some very pretty pictures Kat.:icon_thumleft:

4reale....thanks for that link, very nice of you.

tamrock...thanks....yes, you're right they are sweat bees. I guess "metallic green" just sounds better or describes the way they look. They say the females are the fast movers & the males are slower.

Cool pics. I like the Indian Blanket flowers. Yeah I knew them as sweat bees, and they sting too.

Thanks RGINN, yes we love the Indian B. flowers as well and thanks for the warning on the sweat bees!
