Now, he might have stopped giving clues on NBC because of Whiterock or Jayackam.
And BTW, if you did meet Jayackam in the woods, you would have nothing to fear, guaranteed.
Thanks for your personal reassurance, however my concern in the post was for any present children.

I'm channeling David Foster Wallace with the comment below.
The exact same experience can mean two totally different things to two different people, given those people's two different belief templates and two different ways of constructing meaning from experience. Because we prize tolerance we never end up talking about just where these individual templates and beliefs come from. Meaning, where they come from INSIDE a person. As if a person's most basic orientation toward the world, and the meaning of experience were somehow just hard-wired, like height or shoe-size; or automatically absorbed from the culture, like language. As if how we construct meaning were not actually a matter of personal, intentional choice. Plus, there's the whole matter of arrogance. A nonreligious person is so totally certain in his dismissal of religious beliefs. True, there are plenty of religious people who seem arrogant and certain of their own interpretations, too. They are probably even more repulsive than atheists, at least to many of us. But religious dogmatists' problem is exactly the same as the unbeliever's: blind certainty, a close-mindedness that amounts to an imprisonment so total that the prisoner doesn't even
    know he's locked up.

    To Far To Walk

    John Richard Hersey (June 17, 1914 – March 24, 1993) was a Pulitzer Prize-winning

American writer and journalist considered one of the earliest practitioners of the so-

called New Journalism, in which storytelling techniques of fiction are adapted to non-

    fiction reportage.

An article called "Hiroshima" written by John Hersey was published in The New Yorker

magazine in August 1946, a year after World War II ended. The article was based on

interviews with atomic bomb survivors and tells their experiences the morning of the

blast and for the next few days and weeks. It was a calm and accurate account of

survival in the first city to be destroyed by a single weapon.
"Hiroshima" was quickly published as a book, and remains in print today.

However it is Hersey's much less notable work, "Too Far To Walk" published in 1966, that

is of interest in Fenn's chase game poem map. I don't recommend the book. But I found

Fenn to have used the book in his Chase game.

Being that Fenn just released his version of Too Far To Walk,
I have included a link to a book review of the John Hersey, Too Far To Walk book.

Note the 26 week contract. Fenn stated in an interview that it took him 26 weeks to

write his Thrill and that the book "just wrote itself". According to the Fenn interview,

"the words just seemed to appear on the computer screen" Also note that the mystical

characters Faust and Mephisto or Mephistopheles are in the plot of Hersey's Too Far To

    Walk. Link is below.

So you see the metaphysical connection, which is a primary part in this deal? And I am not saying that the gold isn't there, because it is,but only serves as a bait!

Bait is for simple minded fish.

Fish have but a simple effort,... find food, and procreate.

    The basis of simple life.

FF gives something a tad bit bigger than bait. The ability to change ones own life and the life of others like family.

    Fish dont think that big.

Well now Ignorance, that is not this man's story. He says he has been searching for the
Fenn cache since late 2010. He got lost in DARK WOOD and had to resort to eating his
only copy of his Thrill book and the maps he had worked up for his search.
However, you will be pleased to know that he says he is not giving up. It is all about
the thrill of the chase he says.

So then, I watched the Too Far To Walk book event video. It was like drinking warm water for me. I did note that Fenn corrected Preston when the man referred to the map in the TFTW book by calling it a map. Fenn stressed that it was an illustration.
You know, like he calls the word map in the Thrill book a poem and not a map. I also noted his "come on" comment concerning there being a clue in TFTW included by mistake.
Apparently Fenn just can't help himself. Never stops selling his products or himself.
Got to give the man credit for that.

In the poem map, Fenn makes what could be clearly recognized and construed by some as a veiled comparison of himself to Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon religion.

From Fenn's poem map in the TOTC.

"So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
    The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak."
    ------------------------------
Joseph Smith Book of Mormon story.

Joseph Smith Receives the Gold Plates.

"At length the time arrived for obtaining the plates, the Urim and Thummim, and the breastplate. On the twenty-second day of September, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven, having gone as usual at the end of another year to the place where they were deposited, the same heavenly messenger delivered them up to me". Joseph Smith—History 1:59

'Seventeen-year-old Joseph Smith went about his usual duties on the farm the morning after Moroni had visited him three times during the night. But he was tired and weak. His father, who was working with him, could see something was wrong with Joseph and told him to go home.' (See Joseph Smith—History 1:47–48.)

Again from Fenn's poem map in the TOTC.

"So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
    The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak."

Fenn himself sets the stage for this mystical direction of thinking in the poem maps opening statement.

"As I have gone alone in there
    And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old."

Believe me when I tell you that Fenn takes great pleasure in playing mind games with people. His Thrill is a mind game.

So Vor, Sep 18, 2013, you posted the below comment on this thread.

    To quote you Vor:
"My point is on the financial facts that would lead you to believe that it is a hoax.

Such as him claiming he doesn't make much from the book sales which is total BS. He

skirts around the fact that he owns the publishing company that is making a ton of $$.

Between that and his royalty, there is nothing left to "donate".

How is that report on Fenn's financial profit from his thrill coming along for you Vor?

    Anything to share Vor?
Surprise me and prove you know more than you did on 9/18/2013.
