bronze

I recovered these three portholes from the site of an old forgotten shipwreck on April 6th 2024. They consist of two seven-inch portholes and one five-inch porthole. All found resting in alignment with eachother from where the wreck disintegrated in place around them. They are all still operational.

It looks like some lid, we are not sure about the age or purpose of the item. Could you help us?

I found this item in Luxembourg (Western Europe) in an area with stuff from the 1600s-modern times. The top part of bronze or some sort of copper alloy with the bottom part being iron and is very heavy for its size. I have no clue as to what it might be so any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
