Found this perfect 1829 half Dollar and an 1864 Indian cent on the same day at an old trading post and Inn near the Delaware river. Something in the soil sure preserved them. Never found anything in such good shape as those two coins.
I've been at this for 30 years and every so often I find a dime or quarter that looks as perfect as that half., though not worth hundreds. I found a barber dime under a house that looked as good as the day it was minted. Once I found a barber dime under the eave of an old house that was perfect. I think sometimes conditions are just perfect to preserve a coin. You all have a good one.
