Back to the club today, unfortunately no silver and no civil war. 4 horseshoes (pitching shoes not equestrian footwear), a rake and an Eisenhower dollar was the star of the day. Only my second Eisenhower and it is in really poor shape.

Thanks for looking and may your coil pass over good things.

You certainly "raked" it in today! Your clad Ike dollar may have been in the ground soon after the mint date, 1972..and if so, that would account for the condition. I have a coin (rock) tumbler that I use for my dirty clad, and your Ike would come out nice n shiny. Of course, i run my quarters with a mix of car wash soap, a capful of toilet cleaner and a spoonful of play sand...and then after rinsing, run them again with soap, water and bb's. Come out like chrome. Congrats on a fun day out..Ddf.

Nice finds. Now all you need is a partner to play a game of horseshoes with. Congrats!

Thanks for the cleaning tips. I usually just tumble them with crushed walnut shells and wash well so they can go through the coin machine at the credit union. Of course the dollars and half dollar coins have to go across the counter, since the machine won’t take them.

Thanks again and may your coil find you good things.
