AVATAR: MY Wife Saying....
"Your going Metal Detecting
- Primary Interest:
- All Treasure Hunting
Left my house at 3:00 am to drive out to Iowa City, Iowa to bring my son home from college.
I spent probably 3-4 hours hunting. 7-8 hours driving
Plans were to stay overnight but decided to surprise my wife by bringing my son home at night instead
of waiting until morning.
Did a little research with the use of an old book about old homes in Iowa City and the use of Google Earth
and found that an 1850's house once stood on where a park is now. Came up with the 1898 I H and some other junk.
Then went ringing door bells ( oh wait no door bells ) went knocking on some doors with no luck in that area.
Decided to hit a park from 1909.
There I got the ring and the other 2 I H's
Along with an assortment of other misc. metal objects ( junk)
In all I drove a little over 500 miles..
At least it wasn't a total loss....
Got some keepers for the book.
