I believe it belonged to a woman named Lula Carter. On the atlas map, she is the owner around turn of the century. Her father before her, likely the builder, as listed as carter place in 1874. I have several little ornate trinkets and pieces from a few yards south of the cellar. The “brooch” I think was probably actually a cloth holder and possibly hung from shoulder shrug or a cloth waist wrap w a something hanging from it like a tassel or a key but I think something hung from it rather than it hung from a necklace. Also the design looks possibly Celtic or Scottish design. Bagpipe strap holder maybe?
