It has been awhile since I have hunted or posted, but have gotten out the past month 3 or 4 times. Mainly hunting in beautiful downtown Tacoma. Did find a 1877 Seated Dime yesterday! I am still kind of shaking my head as they are rather rare finds for these parts. The 1855 French Dime has me scratching my head also. Although last spring I found a Barber Dime not to far from that spot so there is some old loot around. But finding any silver around here is really tough. The Brass Shell medallion I especially like and the Sea Tac Shipbuilding mail tag is a keeper. The bullet appears to have been fired out of an octagon barrel?? The large silver bracelet, is like huge. I can't imagine even wearing it. I found that on the old alley way of this property which is used quite heavily I'm sure after dark by the people who run around after dark. Anyway, using a 4" coil has been the only way I can navigate through the mess there. Also going very very slow.

plehbah--The token is one of those fifty's aluminum good lucks. It was so bad I electrocuted it to see more detail.

Yes, it was a thrill for me to find one. Where I'm looking who knows what will be found. The French dime is cooper. Nice hearing from you Ray.

At least you got revenge.

The Seated might be a good candidate for the baking soda, aluminum foil, and hot water trick.

It looks great filthy also. As long as you do not need a magnifying glass to see the outline of Lady Liberty it is a happy day.
plebah--I may try that trick. Normally I never clean coins I really like. But, I've never found a coin this tarnished before either so that might be good idea.

The shorter, fatter cartridge in the spoon is a 9mm, post 1908 to moderne day. That style is typically post 1950s..

The fired bullet is a .45 ACP.

The long cartridge is kinda strange. Were the bullet not so long and it were rimless I would say that it was a .30 carbine.

i would be curious to see the headstamp or measurements on that one...
Rando, thanks for your thoughts. Here is a better pic of the bullet.

Great finds. I grew up in the 60's in Tukwila, and still remember seeing Shell gas stations with that logo on the signs when I was a kid. Bryan
