The black hole between Montana and Colorado.
Detector(s) used
Truffle seeking pig modified for metal.

The results have been so-so

When the pig fails me (which is often), I am relegated to a CTX3030 *sigh*. Like the dark ages or something.

Okay, it's been a few days. Who's digging out yet?

Actually, a lot of melt today!!

WM

Ah yeah boyyyyy! I think I see grass in the park. Button on my garrett pinpointer finally wore out, but if u put a spacer between battery and connection and don't twist twist cap all the way closed u only have to put thumb on cap to turn on and off. Simple fix if your cheap like me!

When I made it out two weeks ago...we were hard-rock mining through 4" of frozen ground...as my 6-year old Toby shows here at about 1min 20sec...

With 9 degree yesterday morning, we still have a long way to go here in the upper Green River Valley.

We got so stuck feeding horses we had to get the backhoe, a little western out there.

Any you guys out there ever heard about the mummy that was found out in pedros back in the thirties? My grandpa use to have it on his desk at his car dealership to draw customers in. It's where abouts have become a mystery. The last time my dad saw it my grandma was loading into her car and taking it to Denver. She passed away in the 70's and I've always wondered what happened to it. There's a rather large reward out for it!

Hey all, Been fighting back issues, had to have the paramedics carry me out of the house last Sunday. Any way been eating meds like candy and feeling better. So no hunting for me last week. mummy huh? I do believe that mankind has been traveling the globe ALOT longer that the history books will tell ya. what chaps my hide is that the academics won't even consider any evidence that contradicts THIER facts.

There are runes all over America, yeah, some are probably faked, but, what about the ones that are in dead languages that have not been used in a thousand years? The Kensington rune stone that has passed every age/dating test it has been subjected to. What about the lead relics found in the southwest, they have passed every dating test, and yet they are considered fakes. It's time that the historians rewrite the books.

Yeah, I would believe that a mummy could be found in America, but the scientific community would just dismiss it as faked.

Within days of the Templar purge by the church, their entire fleet of ships disappeared from history, where did they go?

Back issues. I feel for ya. 18 inches of titanium in my back. It slows me down, that's for sure.

I remember the mummy stories. It was featured on several of the creepy paranormal science shows a few decades back.

Probably sitting in some basement now .

Back problems are no joke, I've had my share but nothin that bad. Feel for ya, damn! I quit installing granite countertops for a reason. The mummy was native American and only 2 foot tall or smaller. Sure wish family kept it, or got it into a museum here in wyo. Probably end up on that show oddities.

Sorry to hear about your back, been there, but hope you get to feeling better.

As for the mummy, wasn't that found in the Big Horn Mts. :icon_scratch: I heard that the Crow and Sioux tell stories of the little people that lived in that area.

In the Pedro mtns, some prospectors found it in a cave sitting on a ledge. Sure wish I could quiz my gramps about it.

Well, it's supposed to start with the white stuff a little later this afternoon/evening.

I'm tempted to hit the parks for a bit, but I don't want to tear up the really wet and muddy grass too much. I'll probably just hold off for today and hit it this week when it dries a bit.

My daughter and I hit the grass outside lansing field yesterday, found some clad and a hobbo in a sleeping bag. Nice digging right now in some spots, others you might need waterproof knee pads. Lol

I used the warm, windless weather yesterday to hit my favorite spot at Washington park again.

Just some relatively new clad and a silver ring. I think I've about mined the area out though as the finds were few and far between. Gotta try a new area of the park.

I've worked the southern end in the past and the hill down the center, mostly cherry picking for coins. Guarantee there is a lot more!

Ya, I've been hitting the area right behind the swimming pool. Lots and LOTS of chain link fence scraps everywhere.

There are also pockets of trash that I have only ever seen in large ponds/lakes. My gut it telling me that the area over there used to be submerged. You can see some old filling equipment and water gates. I have also found a number of underground pipes that run everywhere.

The hillsides under the biggest trees seems to be the best producers. I believe people have been sitting there by the water for 60-70 years. Lots and lots of trash though. Every time I hit that area, I walk from a different angle and find some jewelry and coins. My new little coil also helps squeeze through the garbage.

Oldest stuff I'm finding though is from the 40s and 50s, so I assume that will be about the max age of anything found there. I'm on the hunt for older stuff, so I think I'll be tracking down older areas.

I've dug so much old stuff in the past that I've started to enjoy the parks more. Need to show u where I found these old guns, and anxious to try out new detector with smaller coil there. Hope u can see the guns in picture one a shotgun made by a bicycle company and the other is an old 22.
