rock said:Cool! I have noticed when hunting they seemed to pick the highest ground to camp on for their homes. I guess that is so they could see from all directions.
GatorBoy said:Nice stuff for sure.. good assortment. Scrapers, blades, points a drill.. I'm not very familiar with your area but judging by the stemmed points and the type of blades I would say most of that is archaic.
darryl said:That's what I'm thinking- been on the net and it's pointing to mid to late archaic- I'll post more tomorrow- I also found a couple of bannerstones but only found half of each one - thanks Gatorboy
NC field hunter said:I'm thinking that you have at least one piece that predates archaic. The fluted one as Gator pointed out. I'm thinking Clovis there. I do not know if this only happens to me or not, but I always mistake woodland artifacts for paleo. The styles of the two seem similar to me.
darryl said:NC that's my problem also- they seem to have a lot if the same traits
NC field hunter said:They do. I'm thinking this one isn't paleo. Don't run with that, however. Could it be a hell gap point? It is interesting!
