Hello,
These items were all collected in and around the city where my Family and I live. We do a lot of exploring and sometimes find interesting items. The city we live in has a history of First Nations occupation. We've come across many cache pits, culturally modified trees, etc. If somebody can help in identifying what these items are, that would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks!

I'm glad you realize that's just me bro. There is no ill will attatched to any of that. I'm just an animated person sometimes that comes across as mean in printed text."I'm far from mean"

I know man. Text shows no facial expressions , tone of voice, so on. It takes a little bit to catch on to just how straight forward printed words come at ya.

What is a cache pit? What is a culturally modified tree that one would find/see today that was made over a few hundred (historic) to many thousands of years old (prehistoric)? I know Florida materials and artifacts. The smaller, round item could be a bead. GatorBoy, if I found that bottom holed piece on a site I would take a closer look, this side looks beveled, then smoothed by Man or Nature....??? The other is obvious worm hole boom.
Facial Expression LOL

Point taken Tom.. your a trip! Although I was under the impression that there was no context to them" colturally modified tree?"...oh! My item! I looked and looked at that piece. It was just laying on a beach. I picked it up after a little surfing. I think its just a piece of that cochina type rock that is filled with holes That just happened to break and get smoothed by the surf that way.

Ahhhh!! That Richard Simmons is the funniest thing iv ever seen on here. You crazy!! I don't know any thing about Florida artifacts. Point blank. A little bird told me Gator is planing on coming to NC. I can hardly wait. Gator knows his stuff, don't get me wrong, but I think it will be humbling to him. (nothing ill about that Gator) I could be wrong, but don't think so. Find more pics of ol Simmons. Of all people, what made you think of that cat? I gotta go change under Roos. That's funny !! That shell piece of Gators, I would look to see if it were worn by a necklace like material.

Man! If I were to go looking in FL. I'd come home with a ton of geofacts. No doubt. I was in key west a while back. Good thing my sight was too blurry to see any thing like that. My mind was to blurry to think of looking for artifacts. All those chicks, I would have been a fool to even look for artifacts. Too many better looking things down there!!

Key west is way different than where I am. Not much pre- history there either...unless you count marine life. Great place for shipwrecks.

I had fun in key west, but I can't say I'd like to go back. Orlando, to me, is a nice place. How far down are you? I never have thought to ask. I still have friends in (spelling will be bad) Pinnsicola.

I'm in St. Lucie county about 30 min. South of Sebastian Inlet. Pretty much due east of the north end of lake Okeechobee.

You are down there right far. Florida is a beautiful state. I drove from my home in NC to Key West. I hit Jacksonville and thought, almost there. Wrong! I was about 1/2 way there honestly. That Is one long state!

I went a tad bit far there. I apologies. This is about artifacts. Not American history. Really, if I offended any one, sorry.

Last time I was in Key West, I saw waaaay too many guys holding hands. I went to one beach where the girls were topless, because the guys weren't looking at them.
