Back to the union csamp-a new field

Hello All,
Though there are still beans in our Union camp field, the owner did harvest the corn in the adjoining field and allowed us to hunt it Sunday. We did a bit better than we thought. Of course we found the usual nails, wire, horse shoes and iron stuff. We also found 5 3 ringers, 2 pistol bullets, a corner to a epilate scale, part of an old pewter spoon, some camp lead, what we believe to be a but plate from a rifle and some iron whatsits. If anyone can help identify this iron piece it would be very much appreciated.

Great finds def looks like a buttplate but in the relic world I'm more of a butthead Idk much about that stuff
