I have been lurking for quite awhile, really looking to get my first MD, you seem to have the knack. Any special secrets to divulge? Thanks... nat.

You must sleep with your scoop...make sure it has a pillow.

Thanks for the help, I hear German U-boats did frequent our coasts, and might have possibly caused said shrapnel... The locket could be a photo of Eva braun. God help the U boat commander mowing the fuhrers lawn :laughing9:

Great Hunt! the gold is sweet and $6+ bucks in clad! I'm just starting to do the beaches here in San Diego and not having much luck other then a few pennies and dimes here and there. I and wondering do you do the wet sand, dry sand and or what areas of both?

I usually go at Low tide and work the water line for awhile goin up and down in a zig zag pattern. Then i go up where the water would be if it was high tide and do the same thing. Then i go up to where the people usually sit on the beach and work that area.
So basically i hit all the posible spots. If i dont find much within the first 1/2 mile of the beach i am working ill move to a different area, Example: like where the Heart of a boardwalk is where 90% of the people are that walk right on the beach, and work my way down... Good Luck and HH
