My unofficial take (I'm no expert): Modern. This is based on the number of stars and its construction:icon_thumright:. It's made in the shape of the United States of America.:icon_scratch: Keep in mind that it could be something completely different!!

back in the 1980's, belt buckles and belt buckle collecting was kind of a thing. People would set up at flea markets and sell nothing but buckles. As such, companies started making some better quality and 'limited edition' buckles for the 'collector' market. I'm sure most of those buckles today are still only worth what was paid back then if not worth even less now. Yours is one of those better quality 'limited edition' buckles, made by 'The Great American Buckle Company' but is now only worth what someone might be willing to give for it. Wear it and enjoy it, or trade it to someone for a six pack of cheap beer or maybe a 5 dollar bill
