I feed allot of dug Quarters into the laundry & car wash machines,
Maybe these places should fill their change machines with my Blackened Quarters :laughing7:

either way ... Interesting Idea though I doubt much silver comes from them.
I would think these people know what silver is !

self checkouts in another way to get rid of loose coinage. I remember during the thanksgiving weekend a couple came in and paid for their groceries using 89 dollars worth of coinage and most of it was dimes and nickels. Took them 25 minutes to feed all that in. But hey better in the SCOs than in my till. I tell people if they don't want to use the coinstar, go shopping and go through the SCOs and pop all their change into that. I do it all the time when I have less than 10 bucks worth.

Hugs and Smiles,
Garoulady

cool Idea ! I never used self Checkout & always figured If I wanted to learn how, I'd end up swiping my Debit card.

I always have tons of dirty Stained Dimes & Nickels.
Do they all take change ?

I tried to do that at walmart, just feeding pennies in, but I got stopped at around $1.00.

I tell the customer that these aren't express lanes, well ours aren't, so they will just have to wait. If I do get a customer with a half dollar I normally switch it out for two quarters. I know, it takes the sacajewas(sorry sp?) dollars, but not the halves, Ikes (well not sure on that, might just be too big) or canadians. but hey if you got tons of dimes or nickels buy something that costed about 20 bucks and go to town. Now if you were buying a hundred dollars worth, I wouldn't plug in a hundred dollars worth of pennies because normal SCOs change holders are only about the size of a cup holder. More often than not coins pile up inside the machine.

Hugs and smiles,
Garoulady

Rude employee. Said it was holding up the line.

Well, I hope you asked for your $ back, Left everything lay & told them you would go elsewhere to shop
from now on.

I know I would have 8-)

and the Manager would have heard it also.

I would casino my pennies IF the machines here still took them.

But I'm not going to stick them in change machines , get credits or cash (Bills),
Then walk to a slot machine & gamble it away

I did. Got my money back and left everything there. I didn't really care to talk to the manager though, wasn't that big of a deal.
