box of pennies today.

Went through a box of pennies today i recieved from heartland bank. The stamped date on the box was from September 02, 2012. My results were 7 lbs. of copper, 46 wheat pennies (including a 1910 and a 1918). 2 dimes were also found in this box, along with my favorite find which was a 1943 steel wheatie. No mint mark.

I havent been looking for the wide am's. i think i shall start. But i had a box the other day which beat my last box. I found 49 wheat pennies. A 1989 burmuda penny. And about 7.8 lbs of copper

It takes so long to look thru them. It makes my head and eyes ache. How many should I expect to look at until I find one? I've probably looked thru a couple hundred.

It takes me about an hour a box. I find wheat pennies atleast every 3-4 rolls. My usual finds are about 13-16 wheats

Ok. I usually grab a box of pennies about once a month or if the bank is out of nickels. I tried to look thru two boxes worth, but it was so time consuming and fruitless. Not sure if its worth it.

Yea, i love steel pennies! Only have 2. But satisfited with every one i have. HH
