I am slowly reading all the posts on this great site, glad I came across this one. I am a Noob to the whole MD thang and all the points made here make a lot of sense. Thanx for the eye openers.

Hehehe garyf--that made me laugh (smile)--best way to start a day.
To be honest, it really does not bother me that the police are out and about. In fact, I feel more secure. As a female that trumphs thru parks at 7:00 AM in the morning at first light with 32 degree temperatures and no one else out, I have had a few nut cases walk by me. One guy kept talking to himself in "rap" language so loud I thought he had lost his mind (probably had). Now the police patrol by and I just wave and they wave back. I want them to get use to seeing my car. What creeps me out is men who go to the parks and just sit in their cars for long periods of time. I almost feel like I am watching the kids to make sure they are safe! (Well, I am an assistant principal at a high school so that's just my nature).
