Bullet, Buckle, and a snaffle bit

Hey Tnet,

Checked out a new site today now that the weather is cooperating. I will definitely be going back soon as it seems very promising. Anyways, I found a tiny buckle that maybe was part of a shoe? And I know nothing about bullets either. Then there's this iron thing about 7 or 8 inches long with a ring on the top, any idea what it might be? It was buried pretty deep, at least a foot down. The site is on farmland that saw some limited CW activity (confederate artillery camped here for 1-2 days) and dates back to the early 1800s or possibly much earlier. Thanks ahead of time for the help/comments. :icon_thumright:
