Don't do the rock tumbler if you want it to have value to someone else. I'm no expert but I've seen this subject come up several times and the consensus is always " don't touch it and pay a professional coin cleaning company" but there also comes other factors such as if you've rubbed it or soaked it with anything which could've already damaged it.

If you watched the you tube video cleaning coins with vinegar & salt,DONOT DO IT. From past experience I know & it is not pretty.I destroyed a 1888 IH,1820 & 1829 LP.
