Got out a couple different times this weekend:thumbsup:

Put the monster coil and went to one of my favorite cellars..I had to work for it but managed a few keepers in 4 hours..

KG Copper i think from the 1750's??

And then a 1898 dime spill of 2 coins about 3 feet away:headbang:

Must have been a trip spill:laughing7:

Then went scouting a huge new section i call "Walled in Woods" there are huge walls running everywhere you turn, hike look!!!Sweet spot..

Found the graveyard out there was a beauty then the cellar area had been bulldozed..Way to thick to hunt i will return..

Got a beauty of a Dandy with Decor on it:headbang:

Went hiking some more and found this Stonehenge looking Cellar:icon_thumright:

It was quiet around there with me only pulling a plain Dandy out of the ferns:icon_scratch:

There are more Cellars out there so the scouting begins:hello:

Good luck this season all my fellow hunters:thumbsup:Its almost Cellar Hole season..

Blaze

Looks like you are in for another productive Fall JB. Good digs and a million $ worth of promising sites to scout. Like the copper. HH, Q.

Looks like a great area to hunt. I see what you mean about the stone walls everywhere. Always a good sign.

Awesome finds! That is a beautiful snake too. Even though I would have walked on water trying to get away from it! HH

Those finds are awesome, and I really like the location you are hunting! The fireplace still standing is very cool. That beauty of a snake is your common Eastern Milk Snake, great rodent eaters. If you try to mess with them they put on a huge bluff to act like a rattlesnake since they are rattlesnake mimics. Thanks for taking a photo and letting the snake go!

Man after my own heart. This is the type of site I like to hunt and the things I look for. I'd rather get a few good old finds than 100 new coins any day of the week. Lately that's just how it's been working for me. Maybe one coin an hour, but old ones. In the last week a Barber quarter, draped bust large cent, 1775 counterfeit British half pence, some neat old buttons and a belt plate. You have some nice finds.
