I thought you might like this toy hatchet

a mom or dad could have made this for their little one to play with

I have one more but it is broke
I think it is pretty cool

Oh yeah BTW, this will be my last post,
TnMtns wants me to get my hands healed up so I am quitting this for a year or so

Those are your hands? I thought you took all your artifact pictures on top of a dried out lake bed. Just kidding, do'nt change a thing about your finds or your hands. Your finds always amaze and inform me , this is what the hands of blue collared hard working folks should look like. Mine are always damaged from being an elevator mechanic. The only way i have found to clean and heal them is to vacation at the beach for a week or two!

Your hands are great! What artifacts? I return just to look at your hands. :o

It cant be a tattoo bone; the teeth are squared evenly.
Larson the other side looks broken. Is it?
If so the other side was probably the "working" end.
I really have no clue besides it's a killer artifact.

Larson--You're right. We may never know what it was used for, but I
came across this picture of pottery tools (2nd tool from the right) that
makes you wonder. Have you ever tried to line up the "teeth" of your
artifact with the grooves of some of the pottery shards you've found?
Could the tally marks indicate the number of pots decorated with
that artifact? Just some things to think about. Great find once again!

I was thinking pottery tool or perhaps a weaving tool. Too small to be a comb.

tatoo tool ??? ??? I think they used red rocks and their fingers!
