Confederate Army Officers Button/John C Breckinridge Button/ 1860's pistol
Hit the road for a short hunt with BBoy last week, he was visiting for 3 days and weather only permitted one hunt. We took off for a site that I had been eyeing for awhile but couldn't ever seem to get permission. Well the neighbor was home and let us hunt in her yard next door where another old site once stood. My first target was a 68 Rosie, we thought great . My next target was the Confederate Army Officers Button with the H.T. &B Backmark I found one like it at this link valued at $1175.00 button #25.

We kept diggin and all we could find was trash. Time to move on.
Next site I had already hit a couple of times but the finds here are spread out. I had yet to find any flat buttons here before but knew there had to be some somewhere. My first good target was the lead barrel. It has letters on it but I can't make it out. A short while later I dug an iron pistol barrel, will ad pics of it later. Next good target was a few flat buttons, then what I thought was a Half Cent. Turned out to be a John C Breckinridge Political Campaign Token. Found some info on it here.

Well a short while later BBoy pulled out a goodie. He dug an 1860's pistol missing the screw on barrel. He will be adding pics to the post later. Sorry I'm so late posting but we lost internet last week to a small tornado.
