Stopped by a spot quick today during my usual work schedule that i knew had some serious age to it. I confirmed it with a 20 minute swing and found a 1815 halifax token, 1730โ€™s george iii half penny and a Georgian royal sapper & miner military button. Nothing found today is in great shape at all but i cant wait to see what else is there to find next time. With 100 hour work weeks its nice to get any swing time in. Thanks for looking! Definitely a good start. Every time I dig the similar made Artillery I hope it's a Sappers, but never is. That's a keeper.

I wish it held up better. Maybe if there was a wax or some type of treatment to keep in the bag just in case to treat finds like this right away. In the field i could read the words clear as day but by the time i got home it dried out and most if not all of the patina/finish flaked right off! [emoji17]
