...I really like conglomerates because they're so interesting & colorful...found this one that has a small piece of chalcedony sticking out of it. If Anyone has any pretty or interesting ones feel free to post them here. :)

The dark one on the right in second picture is magnetic. The piece of chalcedony is that shiny orange part in first pic & is that little piece sticking out on the left in the second picture (which is the same rock turned over).

Research Breccia. I'm wondering if those really are conglomerate since it usually consists of rounded nodules.:occasion14:
They look great, though!

Thanks Eu for making that point...I'll do what you suggested.

OK, I went and looked at the difference between "Breccia vs conglomerates"....which is "rounded vs angler" shaped rock/pebbles in the stone...still not exactly sure as I can see rounded & angler in the first picture. But guess it's more Breccia like Eu said.

Does having that piece of "agate" in it make a difference I wonder?

Conglomerates are basically compacted sand. Breccia fragmented rock. Either can contain agate.
Since you live in an area with volcanic rocks, breccia is quite likely.
