I bought a collection a couple of weeks ago in Central Illinois and this piece was in it. Looking at the collection this piece stood out like a sore thumb. The story goes that back in the early 70's he was helping his best friend clean out his Grandma's house and they found this point in the china cabinet. The grandmother had moved to Illinois from Erie County, Ohio in 1919. The point measures 3.75 inches long and is super thin and well made. I had to buy the whole collection but I was bringing this point home with me.

Nice piece Mooch. The relics do travel around a bit. I bought a Moline dove that was found by a buddy of mine from a guy in Florida. That's a good way to start out the year.

I cant complain for a start to 2011 as I got a nice axe and a killer dove already. Here's to 2011.

Thanks for the kind remarks everyone. As far as the rest of the collection most of it ended up in the rock garden and the rest went pretty quick. This was the only piece I kept out of the collection.
