2 lbs of lump crab meat
2 cups of bread crumbs (Italian seasoned)
2 large eggs
¼ cup of mayonnaise (optional)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp mustard
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
Butter for frying


In a large bowl mix breadcrumbs, eggs, mayo, mustard and seasonings. Gently but thoroughly mix in crab meat with hands. Shape into 10-12 crab cakes. Cook cakes in frying pan in just enough butter to prevent sticking until browned. Approximately 5 minutes on each side.

Similar recipe but with minced onions.........

Also may substitute salmon for the crab.........

We use a combination of mayo and pickle relish as a topping.
